Reset a Teacher’s Roster Mode
A teacher chooses student names or student numbers once, and it locks as soon as they add their first student. There is no safe way to convert a roster between the two — numbers would leave codes nobody can map back to a child, and names would either keep the names the mode exists to remove or orphan every attempt attached to them. Resetting therefore deletes the roster so the teacher can choose again. Classes are kept.
This teacher has submitted student work.
Attempts are graded student work. They are not backed up and cannot be recovered once deleted.
Account Permissions
Student names and audio recordings are each off for every account by default and are granted one teacher at a time. Granting either for one school has no effect on any other account. Every change is written to a permanent log with your admin ID, the approval note, and a timestamp.
Before granting: record how authorization was obtained — the district or school, the date, and the form it took. This note is stored with the permission and is what you would show a district that asks. Granting is refused without it.
